Living areas
The entrance hallway has steps down to the light and airy dining room and through to the sitting room which has two large, plush sofas and arms chairs centred around the cosy open fireplace. It has the most amazing panoramic sea views as well as a TV. So you can all settle down and watch a movie together if you need a break from all the activities and water sports you’ve probably got planned during your stay. The dining area has a large table, so there’s plenty of space for all 10 guests to sit, eat, relax, play games and spend time together.
There’s also a sun room with comfortable conservatory furniture along with a telescope. Somewhere to sit and take in even more of those fantastic sea views. Or gaze at the spectacular night skies when the sun goes down. Spiral stairs lead from here to the upstairs bedrooms.
Through to the kitchen where there is another eating area. The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to enjoy your self-catering holiday. It’s got a dual fuel range cooker with two ovens, a microwave, kettle toaster, fridge freezer and a dishwasher. There’s also plenty of pots, pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
From here there is a step down to the utility area where there is a sink, washing machine and tumble drier, plus space to hang your wetsuits. The downstairs ensuite bedroom leads off from here.
Bedrooms & bathrooms
On the ground floor there are two double bedrooms and two twin rooms. One of the twin rooms leads off from the utility area and has an en-suite shower room.
The first floor is accessed by steep stairs. There is a further twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room upstairs, as well as a seating area with a TV and games to play.
The family bathroom is close to the three ground floor bedrooms that do not have ensuite facilities. It has a bath with shower over as well as a wash basin and a WC.
All bedding and towels are provided and there is central heating throughout.
Outside, parking & bike storage
There is a small sun deck to the front of the property and a large garden at the back. With plenty of garden furniture and a BBQ you can spend time outside enjoying the surroundings. From sipping your morning tea or coffee in the morning to enjoying some al-fresco dining, then watching the sun go down with your favourite tipple in hand.
As with all of the properties at Chapelton Farm Cottages, the area is teeming with birds and wildlife. So if you sit and wait for a while you’re very likely to see some deer and hopefully a red squirrel too.
There is ample private parking with a large covered area. Dunrod also has secure storage for your bikes and paddle boards.
